The herbal medicine consultation is a talking session typically lasting 75-90 mins, where Marie will discuss your medical history with you, giving you the opportunity to highlight any areas you feel are important.

You will also be asked general questions relating to all aspects of your health.

Marie is trained in both herbal medicine and Ayurveda, and draws upon and combines these different approaches as required.

Clinical examination techniques such as the manual taking of blood pressure and techniques such as abdominal or chest exam are included in the consultation if required, and Marie often utilises Ayurvedic pulse and tongue diagnosis skills.

Blood or saliva tests, stool tests or hair sample analysis may be recommended as part of your treatment plan so that we can check progress along the way.

These are organised by Marie using the services of private labs. Many samples can be collected at home using test kits, but sometimes blood samples need to be taken using a phlebotomist. In these cases, external phlebotomy partner services are utilised. Marie will guide you through this process completely from start to finish, and then will analyse your blood results as part of your follow-up consultation.

Cost of medicine:

Tinctures: £13 per 105ml (this is typically a week’s worth of medicine)

Teas and powdered herbs: £13 per 100g (usually lasts 3-4 weeks)
