CONSULTATION

Herbalism and Ayurveda consultations can take place in-person in Dartington, Devon or online

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A herbal medicine consultation is a talking session typically lasting 60-75 mins, where the herbalist discusses your medical history with you, giving you the opportunity to highlight any areas you feel are important.

You will also be asked general questions relating to all aspects of your health.

Marie is trained in both herbal medicine and Ayurveda, and can draw upon these different approaches as required.

Clinical examination techniques such as the manual taking of blood pressure and the feeling of the pulse are including in the consultation, and Marie often uses Ayurvedic pulse and tongue diagnosis techniques.

Herbal medicine is prescribed following the consultation, and this may come in the form of a tincture or a bag of dried herbs to brew as a tea.

Herbs are currently prepared in Marie’s home dispensary, but by the end of November 2024 Marie’s dispensary will be based at her consultation room in Dartington, allowing prescriptions to be made up immediately following the consultation.

On occasion, some research may need to take place before herbs are available, in which case the herbs can be collected on another day, or can be sent through the post.
